    Summary: The CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) Study Group sessions cover all ten chapters in the ATD Learning System. This is definitely for CPLP candidates, people who are considering becoming CPLP candidates, and other professionals interested in learning more about the field of talent development.

    Agenda: Based on the “Preparing for the CPLP Participant Guide”, we’ll study for The Knowledge Exam and the Skills Application Exam (SAE). During our online group, we’ll discuss the content, do case studies together, assign practice tests and homework in between sessions. Each session will be focused on 1-2 Areas of Expertise (AOE) and in order of % weight on the exam (this order is subject to change):

    You are invited to attend the ATD Puget Sound Chapter's  Eastside Networking Interest Group!  Feel free to invite others who may enjoy this group – that is the point of the group!  We are meeting between 5:00-7:00 pm.   

    Connect with trainers and coaches, consultants and managers, those in other exciting jobs and those in career transition. Share ideas and resources, exchange leads, build relationships and above all, enjoy good company!

    We meet at the Eastside Bar and Grill (downstairs) at Hotel 116 (formerly the Coast Bellevue Hotel) between 5:00-7:00 pm.  Arrive and leave as fits your schedule, this is informal. No pre-registration is necessary for the PDN. You are responsible for your own food and drinks (coffee or herbal tea, diet soda or draft beer, wine or martini . . .) Keep in mind, ATDps recommends to NOT drink and drive.

    At this ATD "Under the Hood" hosted by Getty Images, we'll explore how their Global Talent and Leadership Development team partners with the business to propel their brand as a global leader in visual storytelling. 

    You'll learn how their Technology Learning Initiative leverages a small learning team to produce innovative programming to develop technical skills across a global organization. During the event, you'll uncover novel ways to produce scalable in-person learning events, and experience a mini-unconference experience that will stimulate ideas for how your technical learning programming can grow.


    In this session you will learn:

    • How the team engages with business leaders, partners and employees to support learning and growth.
    • About the Technology Learning Initiative and it’s on-the-ground approach to building learning capabilities within the Technology function.
    • Their process for quarterly all-day learning events (OpenSpaces, Hacakthon) that are organized and facilitated by employees in the Technology function.

Join us in Fremont on the first Thursday of each month to network, exchange ideas, resources, and leads, and enjoy good company! We welcome anyone and everyone who may be interested -- from the seasoned veterans to those just getting into the field of training and development.

    We recommend pre-registering if you can, but it's not required. During the summer months, the group can be found out on the back patio. During the winter months, we're usually located inside in the farthest right corner. If you can't find us, ask the staff -- they'll send you in the right direction!
