    You are invited to attend the ATD Puget Sound Chapter's  Networking Interest Group!  Feel free to invite others who may enjoy this group – that is the point of the group!  We are meeting between 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday July 26, 2017, in Bellevue.  

    Connect with trainers and coaches, consultants and managers, those in other exciting jobs and those in career transition. Share ideas and resources, exchange leads, build relationships and above all, enjoy good company!

    We meet at the Eastside Bar and Grill (downstairs) at Hotel 116 (formerly the Coast Bellevue Hotel) between 5:00-7:00 pm.  Arrive and leave as fits your schedule, this is informal. No pre-registration is necessary for the PDN. You are responsible for your own food and drinks (coffee or herbal tea, diet soda or draft beer, wine or martini . . .) Keep in mind, ATDps recommends to NOT drink and drive.

    ATDps - Seattle Networking Interest Group -1st Birthday Edition!!

    A year ago, this small but mighty networking group began and now it's time to celebrate our first birthday! Join us as we celebrate with door prizes and goodies, whether you're a regular attendee or it's your first time! Meet people in the fields of training, coaching, performance improvement, human resources, leadership development, and organizational development. Join us in Fremont on the first Thursday of each month to network, exchange ideas, resources, and leads, and enjoy good company! We welcome anyone and everyone who may be interested -- from the seasoned veterans to those just getting into the field of training and development.

    We recommend pre-registering for this special edition so we can ensure we have enough space for everyone. During the summer months, the group can be found near the patio. During the winter months, we're usually located inside in the farthest right corner. If you can't find us, ask the staff -- they'll send you in the right direction!      ATDps: August 2017 Annual Leaders in Talent 

    This is an evening event with limited availability.

    This event is free to members and is the highlight of the summer. This event features networking, best practice sharing, and a panel discussion from leaders in our industry. Please remember this events fills fast; the last three years it was standing room only. We encourage you to secure your spot now! (Please note there will be no chapter meeting in August.)


    Mark your calendars it is ATD Puget Sound’s Annual Leaders in Talent Development Event! This event is a perfect place for people that want discuss industry trends with thought leaders, learn from others on pressing topics, and just appreciate being part of this amazing industry.


    Refreshment Hour (drinks and light appetizers) will be provided.

    Registration is required as space is limited- At door registration may be turned away due to space limits.

    Please join us for an interesting and engaging networking and learning event. You will have the opportunity to:


    • Network with fellow Talent Development professionals.
    • Discuss industry trends, the challenges of leadership, and the value of taking on leadership challenges
    • Be inspired by fellow leaders in the industry

    We’ll have a discussion with a panel of leaders, many of whom have served on the ATD Puget Sound board. They will share lessons learned from their experience and how it has shaped their development as leaders in the profession.


    Come explore what it mean to be a leader in the Talent Development industry. What have you done recently to advance your personal leadership skills? What opportunities are available to you in order to gain valuable leadership skills?

    Learning Content Curation: Successes & Lessons Learned

    As companies struggle to create the right learning content at the speed the market needs it, learning content curation is growing more and more popular. This interactive session will explore how to leverage curation as a learning organization and how to drive crowd-sourced curation to optimize a culture of learning and teaching. In addition to industry best practices, Jami will walk through Slalom’s curation approach (including the launch of Workday Learning), successes, and lessons learned.

    You’ll leave the session with:

    o A better understanding of learning content curation approaches

    o Considerations for implementing crowd-sourced curation

    o Specific ideas for incorporating more learning curation in your organization

    The event will focus on the Instructional Design ATD competency.


    About the Speaker

    Jami Town, PhD is Director, People Development at Slalom Consulting in Seattle, WA, focused on learning and leadership development for consultants and Slalom leaders. She has worked over a decade across Talent Management functions and organizational effectiveness consulting, and spent several years in marketing before pursuing a career in Industrial / Organizational Psychology. Jami is passionate about finding innovative learning and leadership development solutions to drive business impact, and has helped build Slalom’s Talent Management team from 2 to 21 people over the past 6 years.
