Title: Instructional Designer II

Location: Bellevue, WA

Duration: 10+ Months

Job Description:

· Conduct needs analysis and other research to gather information, validate need for training, and identify learning objectives. Determine the proper blend of instructor-led and web- based training (WBT) to be used in a given solution. Apply instructional design theory and techniques for adult learners, and utilize established curriculum development methodology in the design and development of appropriate, effective curriculum. Work with subject matter experts to proactively partner to obtain and validate courseware content. Develop and maintain Leader and Learner Guides, Workbooks, Handouts, WBTs, Assessments, and other components as required for the specific training need. Continually evaluate the effectiveness of training and additional training needs by developing and implementing post- instruction evaluation tools and criteria, such as performance-impacting evaluation, focus groups and classroom observations. Recommend and implement improvements to training to maximize benefits to customers, employees, and in meeting business objectives. Coordinate implementation of newly developed curriculum with internal customers, training delivery, and site management. Develop and conduct Train the Trainer sessions for leaders. Assure overall quality of the learning experiences to exceed customer expectations. This includes all course materials: train the trainers, tools, and other resources. Escalate issues as appropriate and in a timely manner to senior L&D management as required.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business, Communication or related field required; Master's degree preferred;

· 3+ years demonstrated success with increasing responsibility and various assignments in designing both instructor led, web-based and blended learning courses in a corporate environment with emphasis on operational, technical and soft skill development.

· Soft Skills: Other key qualities ability to work in a collaborative environment and work within aggressive timeframes, ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization, ability to partner across functional departments; experience using a systematic instructional design approach; willing take initiative identifying performance gaps and proactively develop process improvement suggestions or learning interventions; solid project planning and management skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal and team work skills; working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Specific experience designing e-Learning solutions highly preferred. Call Center and/or Customer Service experience preferred. This includes all course materials; train the trainers, tools, and other resources. Escalate issues as appropriate and in a timely manner to senior L&D management as required. This role will contribute to T-Mobile's success by enhancing Call Center employee job competencies, and improve key metrics specifically related to call quality, churn, average handle time and employee attrition.

· There may be some travel involved, but we haven’t determined details for that yet.

· We are looking for this person to have strong ID experience, as training design will be a large portion of their work. In addition, project management/strong organization skills are important.
