Neuroscience tells us that two powerful tools — storytelling and visuals — capture attention and drive people to action. The best storytellers do this because they remember one important fact: People are 22 times more likely to remember a message or data if it’s wrapped in story. So why not present that way?

Join us as TPC's master trainer, Kevin Campbell, shares insights on how to turn dry facts and data into audience-grabbing visual stories. Campbell will demonstrate through real stories why storytelling is so effective in selling ideas and driving the business conversation forward.

In this webinar, you will learn:

– What makes fantastic business storytelling (with examples)
– The 4 signposts of classic storytelling
– How a simple tool can pull scattered ideas into a powerful, memorable, visual story

What is ELW?

Employee Learning Week is ATD's national awareness campaign to highlight the important connection between learning and achieving organizational results. It is a time to demonstrate a commitment to this connection. As stakeholders of workforce development, it's a time to energize one another and rededicate ourselves to employee learning.
When is it?
Employee Learning Week takes place yearly in December.
Where is it?
Employee Learning Events can happen anywhere. Hold events in your office, plan a special off-site program, or send highlighted Employee Learning tips during the week.

Why participate?
Training is more important now than ever before. The growing skills gap and the increased need to compete in today’s economy require organizations to develop a knowledgeable and highly skilled workforce. Employee Learning Week is the perfect opportunity for your organization to get involved and highlight their commitment to learning and development.

Check out the Bridging the Skills Gap Report by Pat Galagan.

Who can and should participate?
All organizations are encouraged to recognize Employee Learning Week by rededicating themselves to employee learning and highlighting its link to organization results. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Learning Professionals
  • Organizational Leaders
  • Public and Private Sector Leaders
  • Policy Makers

Get Inspired!
What does it look like when the impact of a skills gap is effectively addressed? Check out a Puget Sound Success story shared by Eric Hahn of General Plastics during an ATD Puget Sound Chapter Creativity SIG. Featured on YouTube, the clip illustrates core principles for successfully Bridging the Skills Gap and ATD's vision for the workforce in action.
