What’s the difference between working as a consultant internally versus externally? Join us as we discuss handling deadlines and deliverables, managing relationships, working with stakeholders and subject matter experts, and more. Learn from a panel of Learning & Organizational Development professionals who have experienced life from both the inside and outside of organizations. Bring your questions and curiosities into this participative and explorative conversation. 

Eileen Terrell, PMP, CPTD

Eileen Terrell offers more than 20 years of experience as learning experience designer and project manager. She is an expert at partnering with clients to design and develop learning solutions that are aligned with the goals of the business. Eileen has consulted on various learning development programs for employees at all levels and is proficient in designing and developing face-to-face facilitator-led, virtual facilitator-led, and eLearning solutions. Eileen’s project management expertise enables her to manage large or small-scale projects in any business environment. Her experience as an instructional designer and certified project manager allows her to take a systemic view of projects, which helps her identify all of the elements required for a successful deployment and transfer of learning back to the job. Eileen earned a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL, a MA in Instructional Design from Governor’s State University, University Park, IL, and a BA cum laude in Instructional Design from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago, IL. Eileen holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), and PROSCI® Certified Change Practitioner

Erin Clarke, MA, CPTD

Erin Clarke is an experienced program manager and learning professional who has worked in learning and organizational development for over 15 years. Erin is a strong leader adept at asking questions to find the root problem and appropriate solution. Before joining Endurance Learning as a Learning and Development Manager, Erin Clarke worked in corporate retail managing the organizational learning function for McLendon Hardware and Sur La Table. At Endurance Learning, she works with a team of skilled training professionals who take great pride in creating engaging and effective learning for clients. Erin earned a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and is certified by the ATD Certification Institue as a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD). She served on the ATD Puget Sound board from 2016-2019, and as chapter President in 2018. She lives with her husband and three young kids in Kent, WA and in her “spare” time loves peloton workouts and cooking from scratch.

Sarah Schillen, MA, CPTD

Sarah Schillen is a strategic and skilled talent development leader with extensive experience in designing and executing learning and performance-focused business solutions. Bringing more than 11 years of experience in the learning and organizational development space, she offers a rich foundation in leadership development, change management, and leading the learning function. Sarah Schillen works for HumanPoint, a boutique Leadership Development consulting firm based in Bellevue, WA as the Director of Learning and Organization Development. As an Industrial and Organizational Psychology Practitioner, Sarah is skilled at uncovering, diagnosing, and artfully maneuvering through unique combinations of group dynamics, organizational levers, and individual motivations operating within an organization. Sarah earned her Master of Arts Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington. She is certified by the ATD Certification Institute as a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).



Puget Sound Chapter Programs have been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute for continuing education credits towards professional development hours for recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials.

Online Registration Closes One Day Prior To The Program. At That Time We Are No Longer Able To Accept Pre-Registrations.

We are not able to issue refunds after the Friday prior to the meeting. Substitutions are encouraged.
