Sarah Schillen, MA, CPTD, Past President* 

Sarah Schillen works for HumanPoint as the Director of Learning and Organization Development. Her specialty is finding creative solutions to both organizational challenges and performance/knowledge gaps and in developing learning experiences that are both fun and engaging. Her educational background includes an M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington. This background lends to an ability to identify the combination of group levers and individual motivations involved in the dynamics operating within an organization.

Her passion for helping others grow and flourish began at a young age while being heavily involved in performing arts music education programs. Through music, she learned the value of investing energy into the success of others. Today this belief rings true in her professional career.




Valentina Pribble - Director of Finance*

Valentina Pribble is currently a US Learning Partner at Zulily. This role grants her the opportunity to support all aspects of individual growth and development at Zulily and Zulily's sister companies: QVC, HSN, and a few Cornerstone retail brands. Her educational background includes an M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and a B.A. in Psychology from Northwest University.

From a young age, Valentina admired her aunt's role as a high school teacher and aspired to do the same. Overtime, she also developed a strong passion for helping others and briefly considered the traditional psychology path of becoming a therapist. After being exposed to an industrial and organizational course in undergraduate studies, she became inspired to marry the two passions, teaching and helping people develop, by entering the corporate learning field. Valentina enjoys the creativity of instructional design, the opportunity to connect with others through facilitation, and consulting with key stakeholders to identify learning needs.

Valentina enjoys spending time with her husband and 9-month old daughter and activities such as camping, hiking, board games, and disc golf.



David Watson - Director of Programs

David Watson is a Relationship Activator & Optimist with ThinqShift.  David's career has spanned from enterprise software organizations to technology consulting and, now, to leadership services.  David is adept at discovering the junction of customer requirements, executive sponsor’s objectives and innovative solutions across many industries. He has worked with startups, private companies and global firms in enterprise technology and consulting. David leverages individual experiences and successes to lead teams in business development, solution architecting, project/program execution and mentoring/coaching.David's passion for coaching started as a Coach for his sons and dozens of their friends in basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball and more.  He continued by coaching and mentoring dozens of individual contributors, middle managers and executives as a VP with a technology consulting organization.  And he experienced the fun and challenges as a co-teacher for several courses at the University of Washington.David has two sons in college and shares "Lessons Learned for his Sons" very publicly across 100+ articles and posts on LinkedIn.

Barrie Jeter, Director of Research

Barrie leads learning and talent development efforts at MN Custom Homes, a luxury home construction company. This role has allowed her to create and stretch in all areas of learning and development. She gets most excited about learning strategy, leadership development, and guiding subject matter experts to teach others. Her educational background includes a B.S. in Management & Human Resources from the University of Idaho and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in adult online learning and design from Colorado State University.

Her personal goal is to contribute to a culture of continuous learning wherever she goes. She sees helping leaders and technical experts find their passions for teaching and coaching as the most rewarding part of her work.

In her personal time, Barrie enjoys kayaking and traveling with her husband, playing Dungeons & Dragons, practicing yoga, creating digital designs, and loving on her dog, Rocko.



Stefanie Frenkel, Director of Communications 

Stefanie Frenkel is currently leading Internal Communications and Engagement at Zulily. This opportunity has allowed her to utilize her skills and best practices to transform these programs. She is enthusiastic about storytelling, engaging employees and learning new communications channels. Previously, Stefanie has driven internal communication strategies at Trinity Health and Ford Motor Company's manufacturing facilities. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Journalism and Screen Studies.

Stefanie is passionate about traveling and taking on adventurous experiences with her husband. She also enjoys baking, fitness classes, ballroom dancing and spending time with her dogs.



Helen Cheng, Director of Professional Development

 








Ann Baus, Senior Office Administrator

Ann Baus provides a variety of office administration and member service functions to our Association and its leadership team.  She is also a friend to Board members and the goes-the-extra-mile person who makes many ATD events the successes they are. 

She is the Chapter bookkeeper and the front line contact for members, potential members and the public seeking information about our Chapter events and services.  She contractually provides these services through her own firm, KDBusinessServices.


Ann’s passion is Association Management – “I love working with small to medium sized membership-based associations. Over 19 years in this field have provided me with a unique perspective in helping associations and their boards.”  She has been a key player of ATD Puget Sound since 2002.
