In this interactive workshop, you'll create an individual development plan (IDP) using the 4 Es frameworks (exposure, education, experience and entourage). Using the ATD Capability Model, you’ll identify skills needed to create an actionable plan.

This program will help you to:

  • Identify skills and knowledge you’d like to develop

  • Build an individual plan outlining your talent development goals

  • Collaborate with other talent development professionals on development opportunities

Upon completing the two workshops:

  • A plan that you can execute with the support of your manager or entourage.

  • A template you can act on or utilize in the future.

  • Documented strategies for achieving your goals.

Optional Preparation

  • Consider any past feedback you’ve received

  • Look up your current job description or a job description of a role you’re interested in

  • Answer these questions:

    • What knowledge, skill, or experiences would help you to be even more effective in your role?

    • What knowledge, skill or experience would you need 1-2 years from now to take your career to the next level?

  • Review ATD’s Capability Model and Career Pathways for inspiration.
