Hall of Fame

To honor long-serving volunteers whose significant and sustained contributions have strengthened the ATDps chapter, supported its mission, and created a legacy of excellence in service, we have established the Distinguished Volunteer Award.

The recognition highlights individuals who consistently go above and beyond typical volunteer expectations, shaping the chapter’s success and culture through leadership, initiative, and commitment.

June 2026 Azure Kraxberger-Unger

For more than a decade, Azure Kraxberger-Unger has been a steady and inspiring presence within the chapter. Known for her dedication, reliability, and organizational knowledge, she consistently goes above and beyond in service to others. Her professionalism, generosity, and commitment set the standard for what it means to be an outstanding volunteer.

Azure first inquired about volunteer opportunities in March 2014. By May 2015, she stepped into the role of Interest Groups Coordinator, providing leadership and communication to Interest Group Leaders, and was named Volunteer of the Quarter in July 2019. She has continued to support Special Interest Groups (SIGs) ever since and currently serves as the Interest Groups Manager. Azure also leads the Virtual Networking SIG, planning and hosting monthly events that have become a reliable source of new members.

Azure served as Director of Finance from 2018 to 2020. In December 2021, she was appointed by the Board to take on the mission-critical role of Volunteer Recruitment Manager. As the single point of contact for volunteer opportunities, Azure engages with countless individuals, encouraging membership and volunteerism as a way to enhance the chapter experience. Originally a two-year assignment, she continues to serve in this role today, having recruited and supported countless members and volunteers over the years.

Throughout her service, Azure has provided invaluable continuity and structure, strengthening systems such as the Volunteer Interest and Application processes. She is a trusted mentor, connector, and guide, bringing people together and ensuring they feel supported and informed.

Perhaps most remarkable is her enduring commitment—even after years of impactful service, Azure continues to show up with the same passion and generosity. She is truly an exceptional volunteer and an enduring force within our community.
