OD Professionals as Healthcare Practitioners.....WHAT!? with Kim Adams and Ellia Ryan

OD is about helping organizations develop and function  well, or to be “healthy” according to Patrick Lencioni. Research in our understanding about what helps people be healthy have led to the understanding that how they spend their work day has a massive impact on their well-being.  There is an intersection between healthy organizational function and health and well being of people. That intersection has significant, measurable impact and is gaining importance as all organizations struggle under the cost of healthcare, presenteeism and the drive to prevention.  As prevention becomes the gold standard, the role of OD Professionals to positively impact health becomes important to explore.  This presentation will explore the intersection of employee health and well being with OD practice and facilitate a discussion on how this intersection could be leveraged for the greatest good of the organization and its people. This could just be the next cutting edge of OD practice, and highly sought after by employers.
