“BEYOND ROI” WITH DR. JOHN INMAN
EVALUATING LEARNING IMPACT: Use learning metrics and analytics to measure the impact of learning solutions.
Description: “Beyond ROI: How LD can contribute to the delivery of value to stakeholders.” LD can move beyond the framework of ROI and help the organization deliver value. What does this look like and why is it important? Strategy explains how an organization, faced with competition, will achieve superior performance and that means capturing value in a competitive market. After the executive team develops a corporate strategy, value is delivered through the value chain. A focus on ROI can sub optimize value creation. It can miss the point. The point is Operational Effectiveness. LD plays a critical role in developing Operational Effectiveness so that the value chain can deliver differentiation in a sustainable way. Unless you are on the executive team, you most likely are responsible for operationally delivering value. Understanding how to create a powerful and differentiated value chain is the first step in creating superior performance in the face of competition. We will focus on Operational Effectiveness and creating a powerful and differentiated value chain and HR’s role in the process.
