August Chapter Meeting (8/16/11)

A Case Study: Using Experiential Education to Impact Transfer of Learning

Discover how you can use experiential education in your training programs to support individual learners and generate momentum in your organization.  Ilana Guttman and Piper Strick present a compelling case study of how an experiential approach to training and development is powerful in even the most “traditional” organizations or settings.  By embedding the notion of “doing” as a key component to organizational learning, Nintendo of America has had amazing results to share with you.

About the Presenters

Ilana has been helping groups improve their working relationships, communication and training for over 15 years. Her dynamic training techniques have proven effective across a broad range of sectors including public/governmental entities, local, national and international corporations, not-for-profit agencies and tribes.

Piper has worked as a Senior Learning and Development Consultant in the Organizational Development department at Nintendo for over 3 years. She designs, implements, and facilitates differing types of developmental opportunities for the company’s 1400 employees.
