ATDps: February 2022 Virtual Member Event

How are you experiencing Chaos right now?  Are you aware of what phase you, your team and/or your organization is in - Chaos, Acceptance, or New Normal? After living through past world crises, and in working with multiple clients through this pandemic, it is clear to Vicki Shillington that leaders experience these different phases when norms of the world are suddenly changed…and then go through them again and again. Two years later, with the “Great Resignation”, ambiguity as related to Omicron and challenges with all “flavors” of the hybrid work model, executives are still challenged with how to deal with what feels like an ever-present state of Chaos.

As a leader, it’s essential you identify which stage you’re in, which stage your business is in and which stage your team is in. And you need to show up differently and take different actions to effectively shift the behaviors and mindsets of your organization, your team and even yourself.  It’s critical to communicate differently with those who are in a different stage from you.

Join ATD Puget Sound, as Vicki guides us through an excellent tool which will provide you with a way of navigating conversations with your peers, your manager(s), your employees…and even yourself.

Our guest: Vicki Shillington

CHIEF HAPPINESS OFFICER

Vicki's expertise is in digital transformation, organization effectiveness and culture shifting. She orchestrates results and happiness!

CAREER EXPERIENCE

Vicki has over 20 years of experience as an executive and consultant at North Highland, Andersen, and IBM. She's led countless business and digital transformations for Fortune 500 companies. Her sweet-spot is in tackling the underlying culture shifts required for true organizational transformation.  She loves to bring the core principles of positive psychology to help shift mindsets and help others learn how to flourish no matter what their circumstances.

BEYOND WORK

Vicki and her husband, Jim, live on the beach in LA and have mastered the concept of "work hard and play hard!" She considers herself an international citizen having grown up in South Africa, and eventually moving to London, and now most recently to the States.  Her holidays are the stuff of dreams!

SUPERPOWERS

She uses personal commitment and happiness to drive extraordinary performance and loyalty from others. She is Miss Happy!

She’s also incredibly open minded on ways to learn more about herself and then how to use that to help others.
