Register

In this 1.5 hour interactive workshop, you'll have the opportunity to create a plan for development leveraging the SMART goal and the 4 Es frameworks (exposure, education, experience and entourage). Leverage the expertise in the virtual space to create an actionable individual development plan. If you are a talent development professional, we encourage you to consider the ATD Capability model and assessment as you prepare for this workshop. More details in the pre-work below.

After participating in the workshop you'll:

  • Identify skill(s) you’d like to develop and/or knowledge you’d like to gain.
  • Build a development plan outlining your professional development goal(s).
  • Develop and document strategies for achieving the goal(s) you establish in the IDP.

Pre-Work

If you are NOT in the Talent Development Space:

  • Please bring any past performance feedback or reviews with you.
  • Consider these questions (you may even consider asking your manager these questions to gain a future-thinking perspective):
  • What knowledge, skill, or experiences would help you to be even more effective in your role?
  • What knowledge, skill or experience would you need 1-2 years from now to take your career to the next level?

If you are in the Talent Development Space:

You're encouraged to consider the above, and...

  • Consider taking and/or leveraging the ATD Capability model assessment to identify knowledge or skills you'd like to develop in the talent development space.

What will you leave with after the workshop?

  • An IDP plan that you can execute with the support of your manager or entourage.
  • An IDP template you can share with your team or leverage in the future.
  • A PDF version of the slides.
