 This position directly supports Amazon’s ultra-fast, same-day delivery service known as Prime Now.

 

As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in advancing Amazon’s unique culture and enabling the success of new leaders in a high-growth, fast-paced organization. Our team provides world-class onboarding, learning and development programs for WW Operations which is comprised of Fulfillment, Transportation, and Supply Chain. We are continually innovating to make the basics quick and easy so we can turn our creative minds towards the more complex and interesting opportunities, which we have in abundance. Responsibilities: •Work as part of a team to develop complete solutions. Participate in the design, development, delivery, and measurement of leadership development events, training programs, and performance support initiatives for leaders in the Operations organization. •Get to know our client group and our business. Learn about their goals and challenges, the work environment, how they walk (fast), how they talk (straightforward); let this guide your work so you can make an impact. Build partnerships and relationships among Operations SMEs and team members in Human Resources to gain their input and participation. •Apply adult learning knowledge to design and develop learning solutions and materials: instructor materials, participant materials, tests to verify learning, job aids, basic video production, elearning authoring, reference materials. Participate in or lead learning design project teams and build positive, collaborative partnerships among SMEs, team members, and stakeholders. •Plan and write content for training programs using rapid instructional design and distribution methods (virtual, classroom or blended) that best suit the content. Adapt materials created for the classroom to e-learning, mobile, and social tools. •Build processes and templates to minimize the development time for new training materials or communication channels, and which help SMEs participate in our development cycle. •Measure training impact. Select or design appropriate strategies and measurement tools. Produce written reports to communicate and gain support for the measurement and evaluation plan. Manage data collection. Analyze, interpret, and report conclusions to make recommendations based on findings. •Facilitate training program and demonstrate the skillful application of adult learning theory in your delivery. Draw upon a wide variety of techniques to ensure engagement, knowledge transfer, skill development, and efficient, fun learning. Ensure learning outcomes are achieved. ·

 

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications •BA or BS degree with a strong academic record. An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus. •5 years of work experience with solid career progression in designing, developing, and/or delivering classroom training in the workplace. •Strong knowledge of instructional theories: adult learning, on the job learning, knowledge management theories, principles in both virtual and classroom instruction. •Aptitude for learning and using technology for both training design and data analysis. •Program management and administration skills: organization, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results. •Superior communication skills are a must: interpersonal communication, written communications and classroom delivery skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and credibly with audiences at all management levels. •Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.

Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications •Formal training or education in Adult Learning, Human Performance Technology, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, Training Evaluation is highly desirable. •Professional certifications. •Supervisory experience is a plus. •An advanced degree in a relevant field such as human resources, adult education, or organizational development.
